I just finished reading “The Girl On The Train” by Paula Hawkins. Wow. What an amazing book. It is a page turner that keeps you craving for more.
If you read Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, you’re going to love this book.
It starts with a girl who takes the train every day to London. On her way there, she notices this couple. She builds up a life for them in her head. Their names. Their jobs. The kind of people they are. One day, everything changes.
When things change, you will learn that the narrator is not as reliable as you first thought. Then you get the perspectives of other two girls, and they seem to get crazier and crazier and its hard to pinpoint where the truth lies. All the characters in this book seem to be living a double life. You get a first impression of them and it will be nothing like the last.
Every section of this book is wonderfully written. Each narrator has such a strong voice and the way the characters are developed is amazing.
This is the type of book that it’s very difficult to write about because you don’t want to give anything away. The less you know, the more thrilling the book will be. I really encourage you to grab yourself a copy, find out what Rachel, Anna, and Megan are hiding, how their lives connect, and what is bringing them together while tearing them apart at the same time.
If you’ve read it, leave me a comment below with your thoughts! I would love to know what you thought of it. If you know others books like this one, please share them with me, I’m obsessed!
